Brilliant and headstrong, Adèle Roche is a Jewish-born Frenchwoman. She has a loving family, but they're taken from her when they are deported from their hide-out in an attic, and she becomes the only remaining survivor of her family after escaping the clutches of the Nazis. Then there's Michael Armbrüster. An SS officer, who spots the fiery red-haired Adèle when she is running away. He's enthralled, completely forgetting she is Jewish. What does he do? Take her in to his home, as a personal companion. He may have fallen in love with the poignant young Jewish woman, but that didn't stop him from taking out his ways on others when he needed to. He wasn't above it, until Adèle came into his life. What will make of these two? This couple that would never cross paths unless tested by the faith of God himself. Can man change for an enemy? Maybe, if he loves that enemy enough.

"He's a Yank!" Caroline interrupted her, jabbing a finger angrily in his direction. The soldier mumbled something unintelligible in response, shifting his position on weak legs. Eliza glared into Caroline, her mouth pressed into a hard line. "Cara, he will die if we don't help him right now. A man's blood will be on our hands." With a low growl, Caroline moved to the soldier's other side, sliding his arm over her shoulders and wrapping an arm around his middle. "Get him inside," she stated tartly to Eliza. | In the early stages of the Civil War, two women who are loyal citizens of the Confederacy suddenly have a gravely wounded Union soldier on their hands. Letting him go to a prison camp may kill him, but keeping him under their care may be risking their own lives.

**Only the bonus chapter is paid, the rest of the story is (and will stay) free!!** Libby Marks-Whelan is decidedly not a lady. Kicked out of nearly every finishing school in the country, she's shocked when her demure, straight-laced cousin Ella invites her to the royal court as attendant during her debutante season. What Ella fails to realize, however, is that Libby's brand of mischief is exactly the kind of distraction Prince Andrew is looking for during his inaugural season as an eligible bachelor. •Based off the song by Carrie Underwood, Cowboy Casanova.• His blue eyes pierced her grey, dull optics. His hand slid up the wall a bit as he leaned down. She could hear his soft breaths, she could feel the cold air brushing her neck. "Why are you playin' this game with me, Carrie?" He whispered, a demanding sound in his voice. His lips hovered near the girl's ear, his hand snaking up the wall beside her. "Because I'm not some sissy-" Carrie snapped, pressing her hands against his chest and pushing him off. "I'm Carrie, and Carrie is me, I'm not gonna go 'round lettin' boys tell me what to do!" Stepping away, she reached into her pocket. "Think your so suave? Meet me at the party tomorrow and we'll have a sing off." Carrie handed him an invitation before making her way towards the door, chucking some breath mints at him. "See ya 'round, Cowboy."

Supernatural meets Grumpy Old Men. Richard had always believed he'd enjoy a few golden years before Death's bony hand reached for him. But what does he get? He gets to live across the hall from friggin' Stan Kapcheck with his shiny bald head and perfect teeth that were all his own, Stan Kapcheck who struts around like a peacock in his leather coat. Honestly! What kind of respectable senior citizen wears leather? But Stanley isn't your average senior citizen. He's a Hunter--a slayer of all things unnatural. He reveals to Richard that the one monster which has eluded him is the same beast that killed Richard's wife and it's due to kill again before the next new moon. The two men load up on ibuprofen and prune juice and embark on a cross-country demon-hunting adventure, but when The Devil Herself kidnaps Stanley, Richard realizes the line between Hunter and hunted is very thin, indeed, and the ornery octogenarian only has a few days left to trap The Devil, save Stanley, and slay the monster who murdered his bride.
