MAZE CHAPTER 1 He thrust my body into the dresser, the vase shattered on the squeaky cold wooden floor. "You fucking bitch", he yelled charging towards me. His fist smashed into my face, my knees gave out. Blood gushed from my right eye. Instantly I doubled over. The room was spinning. "Fuck Mari find your balance, find your balance" my inner voice urged. I could hear him rustling through his clothes on the hotel chair beside the window which were covered by black drapes. "Find something!", my conscience screamed. "Its either him or you". The rustling stopped. I looked up at him through my left eye. The river of blood flowing from the open wound, blinding me while I searched vigorously for a weapon. "You fucking bitches" he grinned in his tailored Tom Ford suite. His crisp collard white shirt was ruffled with creases. "This is why I don't trust you I just fuck you". He stepped towards me, his face now distorted with an evil grimace and piercing eyes looking like death. His 7-foot body hovered over me like a predator, eager to end its prey. His long slender fingers folded around the back of my neck sending a wave of pain down my spine into my core. Fear surged through my body. His fingers climbed into my hair, strangling a fistful of my soft delicate curls. He yanked my head back. My eyes met his sinister stare, he grunted with pleasure at my subordinate position. I could see a silver gleam flash from the corner of my eye. The sound of my heart thumped rapidly echoing through my ears. The long silver knife, crooked with a sharp point that could cut through a thick sheet of metal, moved towards my neck with a vengeance. chapter 2 set to be released on July 17th 2016 Don't forget to vote, comment and share All rights are reserved to me. 1996 just before the clock struck twelve that's when I officially met Rakim. And we entered the new year together. 1997 was a special year, for both me and Rakim. Everybody knew Rocky, but never bothered to know Rakim. 1997 was a year of heartbreak and hardships. I told my deepest secrets and my biggest fears. So he did the same. 1997 was the year of big mistakes, but I can never make myself regret them. That's only cause I spent 365 days with him. 1997 was the year I gave my heart and my soul to Rakim. And I knew he cherished every moment of it. Still, somewhere in the darkness something came to the light. 1997 was the year I let go of him and entered 1998 with new beginnings and without Rakim.
