After the murder of Evelyn Schaeffer's mom goes unpunished by the law, she decides to take it into her own hands; she looks for the murderers with the full intent to get revenge. On top of all this, Evelyn still needs to struggle through the life of an average teenage girl. Things become a lot less average when her high school is attacked. Her best friend, Madelyn Fletcher, gets injured, which forces Evelyn to reveal her other side. Madelyn decides to join Evelyn in her journey and together, they discover secrets that would have been better left untold.
