This story is based on the prompt Element Swap from Zutara Week 2018: Zuko gets an invitation from Katara to visit the South Pole during the Glacier Spirits Festival and Spirit World shenanigans ensue

A Zutara one shot that was written as a direct result of my not being able to sleep.

When Zuko falls ill with a deadly spirit fever Katara learns her healing abilities are the only remedy for his illness. While spending time together the two develop feelings for one another, but Katara refuses to act on her feelings. Leaving Zuko to wonder if Katara will ever be able to look beyond who he was in his past, and fall in love with who he's become in the present.
