A group of unofficially banished label artists, joined by a mysterious alien visitor, decide to fight back and regain their musical freedom. Starting a revolution is not all talk, they soon realize. People get hurt. And the MI - they're not the only enemy. There's another man out there, capturing artists and using them in twisted human experiments. Is this only about music? Who will survive? Who will fall? And who won't be so lucky? In order to keep them contained, North America creates an arena, a sort of gladiator battle, imprisoning the Unnaturals there and forcing them to fight to the death. And for the humans out there - make one mistake, and you'll be in there with them. Joel has made that mistake. He was caught unintentionally helping an Unnatural escape. Now he finds himself thrown into a world that's completely different from what he was told, and learns two very important things. These Unnaturals are just as human as he is. As she struggles along and adjusts to her new lifestyle and friends, she faces bullying, grief, pain, romance, and numerous fights. At night she tosses and turns, then finally stills, all the while wondering: "Is this really my home?"
