Peters Aunt May committed suicide after her husband; Peters uncle, was murdered. Peter was then forced onto the streets barley getting by on table scraps until the Avengers, well more specifically Tony Stark, found him. Peter showed Tony his tricks that he was given after an illegal stunt he did which caused him to gain powers that of a spider. When Tony Stark and Pepper Potts receive a phone call, explaining that Peter and May Parker have been in an accident, they are thrown into parenthood in the time it would take to snap a finger.
