La vita di Ran continua tranquilla. Sorride come sempre e resta la ragazza gentile di sempre. Come ogni giorno si alza prepara la colazione e va a scuola col suo adorato Conan. Ma sarà veramente tutto apposto come tanto vuol far credere? No. Conan, o meglio dire, Shinichi, sente ogni notte dei singhiozzi provenire dalla stanza di Ran. Non riesce a stare tranquillo sapendo che lei soffre in questo modo. L'unica cosa che rimane fare è prendere una decisione che sarà drastica. Ma sarà l'unica possibile. È arrivato il momento per Shinichi di sparire definitivamente dalla vita di quella ragazza.
