(High school AU) "Alright class. Today we will be doing something called pen pals. You'll be writing to the students from Princeton high school." Mr Washington announced. "Pen pals? What are we? 6?" Alex thought. When Alex and John start writing to each other, everything changes for them.

After life threw Alexander around for years, things finally started settling down. He had a loving family, an education, and caring friends. A home. But of course, the world isn't quite done with him just yet. When he starts talking to John Laurens, supposedly bratty, snobbish, rich John Laurens, and finds out that what people say about him are nothing but myths he finds himself tangled on a secret friendship which eventually morphs, quite accidentally, into something more with the South Carolinian. He can't let people know about them, especially not his lovable but oh so overbearing brother Lafayette. It gets even worse when feelings are thrown into the picture. But whatever, what Lafayette doesn't know won't hurt him, right?

Everyone loves John Laurens, they love what they see. They love the freckles and the silky curls. They love the eyes and the lips. They love the subtle curves and the eyelashes. They love the Omega. But when they have the guts to get a closer look they don't like what they see. They see the aggressiveness and the lack of smiles. They dry answers and how when you're standing in front of him he puffs his chest out and doesn't look down. They see a borderline murderous glare, and they don't like that.
