Second year was supposed to be the "We've got the hang of this! Ready to rock it?" year. Instead, it brings old enemies to their doorstep and old feelings back to life. Emily swears she's moved on. Sarah swears she doesn't need defending. They fight, bicker, and slightly drive each other insane. But when the world starts pushing too hard, love fractures and home doesn't feel safe, the only thing that doesn't waver is the sister standing beside you.

Their third year was supposed to be about growing up, but it's about fallout. Emily's grades fall in her classes of the major she picked to stay close to her sister, being that she has no interest in it. After learning about her best friend's major, there's an international internship for it and it's one she can't walk away from. Problem is, she doesn't want to tell Sarah until the last minute. Sarah's social anxiety and trouble with an old nemesis from her high school lands her in a boat of trouble. Following Calvin's breakup with Emily, those two keep seeming to find themselves flipping back and forth on different ends of the wanting to get back together spectrum. With it being Calvin's senior year, they're running out of time. Mia finds that her ex-boyfriend who broke up with her when she moved to attend an out-of-state college moved into the same ground floor of her dorm. Can they keep choosing each other, even when dreams and heartbreak keep coming to pull everything apart?

Part I: There's a new dynamic in the group now that Sarah's got a BFF. Tensions rise, and Emily feels herself changing for the worst. Part II: Just when things seem to start coming together for Emily and Sarah, a tragedy strikes. One of the twins must learn to move forward in adulthood faster than she ever could've imagined.

(Alternate Ending) After Emily dies in a car crash, her twin sister and boyfriend must re-navigate their lives without her. As the driver in the car crash, Calvin feels responsible and lets the guilt eat away at him. His grades crash, he's not graduating alongside his friends, and his family's disappointed. Sarah lost the person who spoke for her, protected her, and who always made sure she felt safe. Nothing will ever be the same for her. Mia, hardly having known the girl safe for most argumentative conversations, does her best to check in on her friends. When a friend from her old life comes around, her confidence is shaken. How can they fix these things?
