Second year was supposed to be the "We've got the hang of this! Ready to rock it?" year. Instead, it brings old enemies to their doorstep and old feelings back to life. Emily swears she's moved on. Sarah swears she doesn't need defending. They fight, bicker, and slightly drive each other insane. But when the world starts pushing too hard, love fractures and home doesn't feel safe, the only thing that doesn't waver is the sister standing beside you.

Their third year was supposed to be about growing up. Instead, it's about fallout. Emily chooses silence. Sarah chooses avoidance. Calvin chooses to let go. Mia chooses to face what she ran from. When the truth finally comes out, it starts to feel like running toward your future means risking everything in your past. Then when you reach back for the people who used to feel like home, the air is cold and empty.

Part I: There's a new dynamic in the group now that Sarah's got a BFF. Tensions rise, and Emily feels herself changing for the worst. Part II: Just when things seem to start coming together for Emily and Sarah, a tragedy strikes. One of the twins must learn to move forward in adulthood faster than she ever could've imagined.

As the driver in the car crash, Calvin feels responsible and lets the guilt eat away at him. His grades crash, he's not graduating alongside his friends, and his family's disappointed. Sarah lost the person who spoke for her, protected her, and who always made sure she felt safe. Nothing will ever be the same for her. Mia, hardly having known the girl safe for most argumentative conversations, does her best to check in on her friends. When a friend from her old life comes around, her confidence is shaken. How can they fix these things?
