One day, she and her best friend, Light Yagami, come across a strange notebook that will forever change their lives, quickly becoming the worst thing that has ever happened to them. Light begins to entertain the idea that he play God and free the world of sin, and decides Makka can be a big help. Soon, his plan of an all-good justice utopia takes a turn for the worst, when the police force and L are called in to solve the case, with it's ring leader, Light, or as he becomes known to the world, Kira.
