Excerpt: "Why? Why is this happening?" Arthur screamed, punching his right fist repeatedly into the wall until he felt the warmth of his blood dripping down onto the ground beneath him. Numb with despair, he crumpled against the wall and burrowed his face into his blood-stained hands. "Arthur!" Zoé cried out and Arthur heard the pitter-pattering of her steps as she rushed towards him. The French gently pulled him into her arms and gave him a tight hug as another sob racked through him. He let his arms hang limply by his side as his tears soaked into her ragged shirt. "It's okay, I'm here. I've got you," she said softly and he recoiled back from her words, pulling away from her grasp. "It's not going to be okay!" he choked out and shook his head fiercely, a crazed look glinting in his eyes, "It's never going to be okay." "It's me. It's all me," he screamed as he dug his fingers into the ground. "They're all dead and it's all my fault!""

Under the big top of Jensen Three Ring Circus, magical performances abound and tantalize the senses, but when the glitz and glory closes for the night, even the circus world cannot escape madness. Acrobat Kate the Great lives and breathes for the tightropes, the trapeze, the aerial hoops. In the air she is a free spirit with boundless joy, but on the ground, she’s a prisoner of unspeakable brutality. As her life spins out of control, a one night dance with the devil lands Kate in Rosenton Home for the Criminally Insane. It is here she is determined to make amends with her sins and to find a cure for her insanity. Her ward mates – a charming farm boy from Texas with a bewitching power to calm Kate, an older Mexican woman obsessed with beauty, a fourteen-year old girl who refuses to eat, a bizarrely upbeat young woman with her eyes on the farm boy, a giant with striking green eyes who lets no one in, and a sixteen-year old young man who shows no emotions beyond pure coldness – are the thin threads between her and becoming engulfed by unseen demons.

In one day, the world succumbed to a pestilence that decimated the living. In its place rose a new species: vicious, gruesome, wandering zombies with an insatiable hunger for the living. Still in her twenties, Cash has watched her friends die, only to walk again. An office worker with few survival skills, she joins up with Clutch, a grizzled Army veteran with PTSD. Together, they flee the city and struggle through the nine circles of hell, with nothing but Clutch's military experience and Cash's determination to live. As they fight to survive in the zombie inferno, they quickly discover that nowhere is safe from the undead...or the living. (100 Days in Deadland is a journey through the first poem in Dante Alighieri's Divine Comedy, the classic tale on the horrors of hell... zombie apocalypse style!) (Note: This is a draft so please excuse any errors. The finished novel is available in paperback, ebook, and audiobook).
