Jessie's family is gone, she's paralyzed from the waist down and all because of a stupid car crash. One night she gets a visit from a teenage boy who can fly saying he'll take her far away. Is neverland real? Is Jessie dead? Or will she just wake up from a coma to find neverland isn't real?

"Let me show you what's it's like to live, take off your veil, Ro." Rune gently encouraged. I shook my head. If the corporation saw I would be reconditioned until I died. Rune approached me and slowly lifted my veil. I closed my eyes and felt Rune's mouth meet mine in a way I didn't think a pair of lips were capable of. The world around me swirled in colors and feelings I didn't even know existed.

"Don't you understand?" the look in his eyes made her want to cry. "I cannot just leave you. The curve of your smile is etched into my soul. The shape of your hands are all I can think of when I look at my own. The color of your eyes is all I can see when you are gone. I cannot live without you. I don't know how."
