I knocked on the door and waited, knowing that they weren't expecting me. My grandma opened the door and smiled at me in surprise.
"Ryder baby, what are you doing here?" She questioned and I simply looked at her.
"Grandma, tell me about the colors." I requested for the first time since I had seen the shade of that unknown color. I can see that color everywhere now. She knowingly smirked at me and moved to the side so that I was able to walk into the living room.
"Luke, come out here. Ryder is here."
"Hey kiddo, what are you doing here?" He questioned me, sitting down on the couch next to Grandma. I sat on the solitary rocking chair and they both looked at me.
"Ryder sweetie, can you see the colors?" I wasn't too sure of who asked the question but I nodded, seeing how bright and wonderful their house looked in color.
-----------
In a world where colors are hidden, Ryder's normal day at work becomes unexpectedly interrupted by the colors of the world around him. Only few know what these colors really are.
Scarlett's life however seems to continue as normal. Work about school and college, spend her days writing herself a world away and spending her nights dreaming of something strange, something she dare not say in public. No one believes in the colors, but of that what she sees at night? Or is it some optical illusion?
In a story filled with betrayal and death, can these two find the hope? In world full of grey, can they find the color?

I got this idea from a writing prompt. I made it sort of my own. Feel free to write your own but please, don't steal mine.
