But when Stiles starts showing up to pack meeting with bruises on his neck he has to convince himself to move on. Stiles "accidentally" made it clear to all of the openly gay boys in school that he was available, which really meant he wanted this whole gay thing to seem real, so Lydia HAD to believe him. Stiles "accidentally" told Derek Hale he'd go to the winter dance with him, which really meant he wanted Lydia to see them together and believe this whole scheme. The only thing Stiles actually did on accident, was fall in love with the captain of the lacrosse team, Derek Hale.
