❝You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to face them.❞ ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ After wiping out on the waves and spending the last six months in a physical therapy centre recovering, pro-surfer Thalia Monroe, heads to the small coastal town of Sandy Cove to escape the limelight. Still recovering mentally from her near-death experience, getting back on the waves has not come back to her as easy as she hoped. Maybe all it takes to get back on the board is a local, Atlas Hayes, who wants to show her that maybe the strength she's been looking for has been there all along. One thing Thalia wasn't expecting was that falling in love is like surfing a wave, it's an adrenaline rush that can throw you ten feet under.

When Rosalie moves to the Outer Banks for the summer, sparks fly with the local lifeguard. *** British socialite Rosalie Harrington enjoys the power and respect that her position as Queen Bee brings, so she's horrified to hear that she'll be spending the summer in a remote American coastal town. With opportunistic friends and a rocky relationship, it's the worst time to leave London, and she drags her heels all the way to the Outer Banks. One day into her so-called holiday, a careless mistake has Rosalie fighting against a rip current. Fortunately, the local lifeguard is on hand to help. Brent might be an expert at saving troubled swimmers, but he is drowning in problems of his own and is far from impressed by this tourist's recklessness. The two of them couldn't be more different, but their attachment to the beach forces them together and sparks fly as they try to ignore the sizzling chemistry that soon develops. Rosalie and Brent are both about to learn that it's not just the ocean where there is more beneath the surface than meets the eye. No where to go, on the road Faylyn is on her way to finding her place in life. After a misunderstanding, prison and an argument with her parents, they kicked her to curb without even wishing her luck. Without a high school diploma or anything to keep her tied to the city, she left. Thankfully, with the car and clothes she had paid for, she headed South with the hope of finding her place in the world, a meaning for her existence. It was then she found herself in an uncommon situation, alone, in the middle of nowhere with something that needs more help than she does. Yes, this is a romance novel. It's more of slow building love rather than a raunchy, extremely passionate one.

"'Bye.' I say after Edwin's kiss. He gives me a small smile that honestly looks more like a grimace. It makes me a little uncomfortable having him kiss me in the library. Edwin walks away, and someone standing in the corner of my vision makes me turn in my seat. A tall, muscular man is standing there, his arms crossed, staring at me. He's got dark brown hair, perfect eyebrows, and soft brown eyes. Honestly, he's gorgeous. And since I've read, and edited, about five articles about him, I recognize him immediately. Dane Sawyer. He's the best pitcher on our baseball team. He's hoping to go pro, although I'm not totally sure what the process is surrounding that, since I don't retain much of the information from the articles that I read about him. I know that he's also a junior, and that his girlfriend is hot as fuck. I've seen them together on campus. They're hard to miss because they are easily one of the most attractive couples that I've ever seen. I'm convinced that I must be hallucinating, because he makes eye contact and walks towards me. 'That was awkward.'" ~~~ Junior year is starting off chaotic for Mackenzie Brooks as she steps into her role as the editor-in-chief of the college's newspaper. She's smart, focused on school, the paper, and her TA responsibilities. Junior year should be starting off easy for Dane Sawyer. He's the star pitcher of the baseball team; attractive, athletic, desirable, with a hot girlfriend. Unfortunately, he's also failing computer science which is the one thing he sees that is in the way of his pro career. Different in more ways that one, when the two run into each other in the library, it's an immediate disaster. But when Dane convinces Mackenzie to be his tutor, both of their lives begin to change.

What happens when the star baseball player hits a home run into the art studio window? ***** All Sadie Lane Garner needed to make herself happy was a canvas and paintbrush. With copious projects due and little studio time, she volunteers to clean the art building in exchange for after-hour use of the university art supplies. But, she doesn't foresee the loud baseball games outside the workshop windows, the near-perfect view of the field, or the sight of devious, dark-haired athlete, Elijah Preston, known for his charm and home runs. And it doesn't take long for Sadie to find out he also has the perfect view of her. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Completed, 80-85k words Stand Alone novel [previously named The Art of Falling] Cover photo from Pexels edited on Canva Copyright of Anna Steffey All rights reserved.
