They all started taking volunteers to commit suicide which wasn't enough. Each country then decided to block themselves off from one another. So, we now have no idea what happens outside the United States. With this happening the government was willing to take any idea to gain control of society once again. And so, The Part-Time Act was signed and put into place. This act stated that the government pay a certain amount. To every Business that has part-time associates. In return these places will be split into 2 sections one side safe and one side danger. The safe side ensures your safety with much higher prices on food and other materials sold. As for the danger side, food and/or other materials are dirt cheap. But there's a catch. Employees on the danger side are getting a commission for every kill they make on the customers. The safe zone is making it to the cashiers. Our story will follow Seth a young 17-year-old growing up in this time. All he wants is nothing more than to work hard and receive a normal life. All they know is that changing the routine makes them disappear at night, those who leave never come back, and nobody comes into the town. At least, that's how it used to be. People are starting to forget that they're reliving the same day over and over again at the expense of their lives.
