So he kept the letters with him, hoping on a dying wish that he can send them, at least get some contact. Sirius was one day away from proposing. That ring is worthless now. When Sirius was taken away from his boyfriend's and future fiancé's arms, after the death of his two best friends, he was alone, with nothing but a pen, paper, and a dying light in his eyes, hoping that he can send his letters, at least get some contact. And they are together in some way, either lit by the dim Christmas tree's lights or by the dim moon through the cell window. (This is probably only going to be 10 chapters at the most.
