{Original Story} Vidya Khan is an anomaly. Her powers manifest when she's seventeen -- that's unnaturally late. Things get even weirder when Celestro, the enigmatic company responsible for all things super, offers her a spot on their elite hero team. Saving the world is complicated, and Vidya is struggling to keep up. The Marvels are not the same smiling, golden heroes they are in the media, and getting along with them is actually harder than fighting the villains. And as if that isn't bad enough, supers are turning up dead, and no one knows who to suspect... Because if Vidya has learned anything, it's that anyone can be the bad guy.

COMPLETE ***** "That mask covers like 2% of your face a good pair of sunglasses would be more effective." "Hey, in every Superhero movie when they are in disguise that's what they wear and no one recognizes them." ***** Rya Morgan hates Superheroes. Well, maybe not hates. But in a world where everyone adores the enhanced, Rya's avid distrust makes her an outsider in a sea of mega fans. So when she's thrust from her relatively normal life into a classically cliched Superhero story, Rya fights her hardest to get out. Too bad her best friend Trey Roberts also happens to be the newest member of the League of Heroes. He might be new to the whole Superhero thing, but he's not going to let Rya get hurt on his watch. Unfortunately, that leaves just one option, for Trey's mysterious partner LP to intervene. For a Hero, he sure does have an off-the-books way of working that causes he and Rya to clash instantly. The more ingrained into her life the Supers become the more desperate Rya is to figure out who's targeting her, and more importantly, who LP is beneath the mask. Rya is willing to do anything for the truth. Anything, that is, except reliving the memories she's tried so hard to erase. ***** | First Place | The Pizza Awards ***** Warnings : Mild language, Mentions of depression and suicide

What is a hero supposed to do when her only healthy relationship is with her villian? For Galaxy Girl and Toxic, their entire lives mirrored in the grandiose rivalry of their fathers. Both playing their parts of arch enemies as the world expected of them; but what is unknown to the world is that behind the masks their lives are frequently isolated to everyone but each other. Because of this, over the years, during their many epic battles, a strange bond was formed, one that made them neither friends nor enemies. Villains. Heroes. Try as they might, one is always bested by the other, an endless fight without true meaning. We all have to pick our sides, but I think it's outdated. We all need to toe the line - to really satisfy our purpose. That's where I come in. Not only the undoing of villains, but the remaking of heroes. It's time for everyone to welcome a new chess piece on the board. Check mate. ≄ completed ✓ standalone highest rank in sf: #180 cover: @narwhelly

Heroes. Ever since they showed up, people have gone soft. They're adored, worshipped. Devotion is showered upon them like rain. It's about time someone knocks them off that pedestal they stand on, someone to crush their pillars of faith. Someone like me. A villain. It's perfect. I'll be the undoing of heroes. ≠ disclaimer: very much needs to be edited, very much needs to be less corny and very much needs to be entirely rewritten by me. if you approach it as a goofy, corny, old 2015-esque superhero book then it'll be a great time. i'll be honest and say there are no pulitzers here. completed ✓ highest rank in sf: #9 cover: @narwhelly

My name is Violet Devereux and I am a superhero. Okay, not technically a superhero because I can't fly, or shoot lasers from my eyes. I am a perfectly ordinary girl in her twenties, except at night when I put on a disguise and become Justice: the hero-vigilante of London, England. Life was good until he showed up. His name is Ghoul and he is a real superhero. Super strength, super speed, super good-looks (he wears a mask, but I assume), super perfect golden hair, and rumoured super hearing. His only flaw? He is no hero. ** Currently adding some fresh updates **
