Sapphy Mitchell needs a holiday.
Ten years of sleeping with the same nightmare has taken its toll on her health, her relationships, and most significantly, her ability to live the life she had been given, twice.
With her parents' shared sixtieth birthdays just one month away, Sapphy sees it as the perfect opportunity to put her hard-earned confidence to the test. And so, armed with a suitcase full of self-help guides and enough sedatives to drop an elephant, she manages to get herself on to a flight back home to Australia.
Port Douglas, in Far North Queensland, has changed so much since Sapphy was last there a decade ago, that she hardly recognises the tropical idyll where she grew up.
What she does recognise though, is the incredibly good-looking, but infuriatingly blunt, owner of the bar at the bottom of her street. She just can't figure out where from.
Can a few home truths, a couple of second chances, and one unfathomable coincidence bring together two people who believe they have absolutely nothing in common?
