So in this story, you get a mark, or a tattoo when you are born. You and your soulmate both have tattoos that will symbolize an event in your life which is when you will have your first kiss with him/her. The tattoos will only make sense then. The tattoos on you and your soulmate do not match. In this case, Adrien, the son of a baker, and Marinette, the daughter of the most famous fashion designer, have just met at school and Marinette thinks that Adrien is trying to make her first time at school miserable-and he is.
