I watched from my window as I saw Aunt Nichol get carried out of the orphanage. She would be taken away to hang due to the suspicions of her murdering a general that had come to visit us. She didn't do it. She was being hanged for something she did not commit. That night I ran away as a different person. From now on everyone would know me as, Adam. A girl living in the 1700s runs away from the orphanage she lived in for most of her life to save a woman from hanging. To do this she changes her identity, pretending to be a boy with the name Adam.
