Same as any other. A fifteen year old Hiccup runs away, well, rather he flies, from Berk. Because He couldn't kill the Monstrous Nightmare in front of the Village, and he saw no other option. But he will return to Berk unexpectedly.

There is Hero, a Dragon Hero. He stops the dragons from attacking villages. No one knows who he is, or were he comes from, all we know is, he's the 'Dragon Master,' they say he rides a Night Furry, the unholy offspring of lightning and death itsself, but we don't know for sure, they are never seen, only heard. It has been three years, since Hiccup disappeared. The day he was meant to kill the dragon. The Monstrous Nightmare. I don't own HTTYD

After getting the honour of killing a Nightmare, Hiccup leaves Berk with Toothless. It seems like he can't find peace as three years later the Hooligans find and capture him. Going back to Berk seems like a bad idea at the time, but Hiccup has to push aside all selfish reasons and help Berk. Hiccup can't......he won't kill the Monstrous Nightmare. But when he's pinned down and about to take his last breath a massive explosion happens. Causing the Nightmare to let him go. Toothless has come to the rescue! But how is he going to tell his father about befriending a dragon? Perhaps he should just run away. Yes! That's what he does, with the intention of never coming back. But when a problem arises and he returns to Berk. What will happen next?

Hiccup and Toothless left Berk thinking no one cared. Being the neglected child of Berk (despite his family, and being the heir to the village), Hiccup decided he'd had enough. He took Toothless and his most treasured belongings and high-tailed it out of there. When he runs into his long-lost mother, life looks up for Hiccup. He's found a place where he belongs. Meanwhile, on Berk, the village assumed Hiccup was dead by a Night Fury's doing and left it at that. Astrid and her friends, however, didn't think such. When a surprise trip overseas and an unfortunate turn of events allows the Berkians to find an odd nest in the middle of nowhere, they may prove that the lost heir to Berk isn't as dead as everyone thinks. //story takes a turn for the worse like halfway through bc i stopped editing it. also i wrote it when i was like 11-12
