[fan cover made by @Serena-Daniels! thanks so much!] Leaf Green, a spunky and ambitious girl, took up the challenge to complete the Pokédex, travel through the region, earn badges, and better yet -- become a legend. The trainer was ever so daring to accept a dangerous, vein-exploding task but instead of being as craven from her still dependent stage of age, her adolescent self shrunk and she roused to be more self-reliant. The girl's journey was quite decent in a way, romance and drama come in her way. Though in spite of all, she was able to focus into her quest. Oddly enough, Leaf was spontaneously receiving voices or visions in her head with no prior knowledge of what or who was sending these impulses. "Become a legend to rescue who's fallen." And that is what she dares to unravel. [humor, romance, implicit maybe dark]

I'm a 16 year old girl, by the name of Umber. And yes, I realize that its a boy name! But anyways, I've been assigned a mission, which is a lot harder than it seems. I travel to Johto, in order to track down a certain red-headed boy, who my boss instructed me to find. Seems easy enough, right? Not quite; considering he can't find out I'm from Team Rocket, and I've got an annoying, gold-eyed trainer following me around. And I've got a cuddly, loving Dratini who is anything but helpful. Now I can see why villains have trouble succeeding... [Picture used for cover does not belong to me] [PKMN Watty: Best Romance Story, Winner 2013] [PKMN Watty: Best Character: Umber, Winner 2013

It's horrible to don a mask. Most wear some kind of mask in their life--and for the most part, they're never of the best quality. All they cause is useless self-destruction and pain, but the good thing about them is that they can hide some ugly part of you that you don't want to show to the world. They're always a step down from what you think they'd be, always a notch lower than expectations, and always a lie to hide from the reality around us. ...of course, there are those that can see through those masks too, and it's supposed that Arceus created these humans to keep the world's sanity. That's all Avis wishes for, because it's nearly impossible to find any semblance of peace in this midst of war and chaos. To him, that's staying alone; staying out of others' business, and for the first seventeen years of his life, he's done that pretty well. § Avis can only hide in the shadow of his twin brother's strength, stranded in a country ravaged by war and destruction--and he tries to live his life in the darkness peacefully. He doesn't need to be noticed by everyone. The illusion of a functional, ideal life, however, is shattered when his family's balance is destroyed, and he thus dons his first mask. § For all his life, Avis had been taught that disaster was bad. For the most part, he's believed that much--he only needs to think of ungraceful piles of debris and blood-caked grounds to be convinced of that. At eighteen, he finds himself starting to doubt it--just a little. He can hate disaster for tearing his life to pieces, but he can't quite hate it for granting him something better than a miracle. § Tonight, these children don their masks.

Monsters lurk in the corners of our minds. They prowl and snarl at any sense of happiness, ushering in a darkness with each step they take. These creatures take on many different forms to slowly tear us apart. Some tether us to our beds, refusing to let us walk under the beautiful sun. Some of them suffocate us in crowds, their claws tearing at our throats with a crowing laugh ringing in our ears. For Kate Hitomi, Hero of Almia, vanquisher of shadows, and bringer of light.. Her mind is nothing but darkness. Ever since she was young the monsters have manifested themselves as nightmares. However they are worse than they've ever been. Kate can't close her eyes without screams rising in her chest, her entire body trembling and laced in a cold sweat. It kills her friends to see her like this. But what can they do? Keith can only hold her as she cries. Rhythmi can only listen with their hands intertwined. The fight is no longer tangible, or as easy to capture a raging pokémon. For the war rages within Kate's mind. (Vatonageshipping, Shadows of Almia Fanfiction. Cover art was edited by me, but actual art was not drawn by me. As I write this letter to you, all I have to say is... I'm sorry. I'm sorry that I lied to all three of you. Living a life of lies has taught me that it comes with a price, and now I'm paying it. My name IS Rena Deveraux; that wasn't a lie. But I never wanted to be a Ranger... That's not why I was at the Ranger School. I am so, so sorry that I lied to you, but the truth is... I'm a thief. And you...you were my assignment, and I was to think of you as nothing more than that. It wasn't personal, I promise you. It was just business. I thought I could outrun the law my whole life and never get caught. Never did I once think that the law applied to me, or that my actions would catch up to me one day. It never crossed my mind...not even once. I was so confident, which made my downfall inevitable. I left my back turned for one second and I lost it all. No words can describe the feeling I get when I look at your face... That look of pain, and sadness... Your eyes are filled with nothing but hate and disdain when they meet my gaze. Honestly, I'm surprised that you haven't killed me for what I've done to you. I'm afraid this is the end, and I will never see you again. You can hate me for the rest of your life. I understand... What I did to you is unforgivable, and I don't deserve your forgiveness. I don't deserve to see your smile ever again. My biggest regret is that I will never get to properly say good-bye to you. So, I must do it in this letter. Good-bye, my Prince Charming. I will never forget you. Take care of Rhythimi and Isaac for me, and please...apologize to them on my behalf, since I can't do it myself. Oh, and one more thing, Keith. Assuming that you didn't just tear this letter up upon receiving it, I just wanted to say... I've told you a lot of lies since the moment we first met... But my feelings for you were never one of them. {Pokémon Ranger Shadows of Almia fanfiction; cover art was just photoshopped by me}
