"At TAP I was the one the RDA looked to. Harding knew I wouldn't be a good ambassador, I was just too violent, but I was a suitable weapon. A good shot, a sounding board for RDA cruelty. And I suppose that now I feel that the only thing that can permanently bury the last of TAP is my own death. Because I'd do it, I'd die if it meant safety for the rest of the clans." ❀❀❀❀ Zeyk'oa was an infant when the RDA invaded the Sarentu Moot and slaughtered her clan. Having been groomed as a child into becoming the RDA's next weapon, Zeyk'oa's eventual freedom into Pandora is a massive step forward for her. Though she still struggles with the deaths of Awë, her closest childhood friend, and her older sister Aha'ri, Zeyk'oa uses the things she learned at TAP to fight against the Sky People. So'lek came from the Trr'ong People. But when they answered the call of Toruk Makto, the Sky People left nearly nothing untouched. Reeling from the rage and grief, the young hunter sets out on his own. Eventually, he comes into contact with the Resistance and after much convincing, he agrees to join them. Fifteen years of peace. Fifteen years that shattered the moment Eywa's scream echoed throughout Pandora as the Sky People returned. So'lek returns to the Resistance after his time away to join Dr. Alma Cortez in investigating a signal at an old RDA facility. Zeyk'oa, awake after fifteen years of dreamless sleep, must find a way to become Sarentu again with nothing but the ashes of her people. So'lek, living in a constant state of rage and hatred, must learn that life has more to offer than pain. But as tensions rise and new enemies circle them like vultures, will their songs survive or will they be nothing more than broken songcords?

"Words, Ka'riya," he said quietly. "I need words." My throat worked before sound followed. Heat crept up my neck, settling in my cheeks, and I looked away despite myself. "Yes," I said. "I am sure."

Successor to ''When the Ashes Settle'', this is the second installment in the duology. Thirteen years after the war ended, peace moves across Pandora in calm rhythm, like a lake that almost convinces you it'd never seen thunder. Tamtey leads the Sarentu as olo'eykte, with Ri'nela as her tsahìk and So'lek at their side, loyal as ever. Leadership fits them like it always meant to, a blade sharpened through meticulous hands. They welcome three children into the world who each reflect them in different ways. Ivä, fierce and commanding; Kha'lo, careful and perceptive; then little Fika, so small she only knew laughter. The Sarentu reclaim their identity as nomads and storytellers, traveling from clan to clan, place to place, welcomed and respected as their ancestors once were. For awhile, the freedom made them feel untouchable. But far across Pandora, the humans have been festering like an open wound. They return not as miners or soldiers, but as architects and playwrights crafting spectacle. With Earth collapsing under pollution, famine, and disease, the wealthy are offered salvation in the form of avatar bodies and a newly crafted frontier made specially for them. A vast city rises. Glass towers replace drill rigs, cafés and boutiques bloom beside glowing flora, not on top of it. Pandora becomes the luxury destination it was always meant to be in the eyes of humans. Celebrities and corporate elites arrive to perform and be showered in gifts beneath floating mountains. Visitors purchase "authentic" artifacts while posting selfies to their timelines. Wealth remains the deity, and exploitation has simply changed its costume. Thirteen years of peace had taught Tamtey how to believe in it again, but it also taught her how to recognize the comings of a storm. This time, would they be able to waver it?

Kì'lana believed she was amongst the last of her clan. With a mark on her face, damning her to remember what she was supposed to be "grateful" to have survived. She kept it carefully covered with paint, ensuring no one she came across would know. There would be too many questions, too many words of sorrow. Too much guilt on her shoulders. But she had only been a child. Who could be grateful to survive something they didn't know was happening? And who could go months without realising that the dreamwalker they worked with...was the one partly responsible for so much loss in her heart? And why did it take the patience of a Trr'ong warrior to make her feel seen again? ~ so'lek x fem!Oc (might change the description later, not sure if i like it yet) all images are from pinterest x

The time of war had ended. Peace flourished as the remnants of the RDA fled the Western Frontier, only leaving behind scraps of metal as proof they'd ever been there. For a time, Pandora began to heal. She reclaimed what the sky-people had ruined, stitching the wounds of time closed with root and vine. Life moved forward. The Resistance turned its focus to the living world Ewya breathed. Alma settled into her human body again. Ri'nela learned what it meant to carry the weight of a tsahìk's voice. Teylan shaped metal and wires into something meant to protect, rather than destroy. Yet, Tamtey did not find peace. Sleep brought the memories of TAP that haunted her, driving her from her bed night after night. Only the soft wind beneath unfamiliar stars offered any peace. She was rarely alone for long. So'lek always found her there, sharing quiet hours until the dawn chased away the dark, trading dreams and the horrors that kept them awake. Still, the forest shook with unease. Ewya's song wavered, strained by something distant -- quickly approaching. Smoke stained the horizon. Thin and gray, whispering against the clouds. A single flake of ash drifted down, landing on top of Tamtey's bouncing knee. So'lek reached out and swiped it away, pinching it until it vanished. "Ash..." he murmured, gaze fixed on the rising plumes beyond the trees. "And fire," Tamtey replied, her voice unwavering. The forest fell silent around them. Even the animals did not cry out. A new enemy was coming.

In the wake of fire and ash, Tamtey returns changed, alive, but carrying wounds no flame can show. So'lek, bound by silence and guilt, stands watch over her healing, loving her in the spaces where words fail. As the forest regrows and scars remain, their bond is tested not by battle, but by the quiet courage it takes to stay. Moments full of restraint and yearning, where love is not declared, it is endured.

Alongside So'lek, Tamtey, and the other Sarentu, Elunai must learn what courage, trust, and family truly mean.
