She lived a tough life and had no friends. Her life was constantly a chore of getting up and being able to walk a few feet before the length of her cell stopped. She, nor anyone else had a clue of her birth parents and the royal Asgardian blood flowing through her. She believed she was extremely cursed with powers that had more purpose than her. She was tested on day in, and day out. It was finally at the age of 14 when Nick Fury paid her a visit that would change the whole course of her life. The story takes place 2 months before age of Ultron.
