This newer version of Royal Pain has a few mature scenes and more added detail. I hope if you're a rereader of the book you get sucked in all over again. *Synopsis* Three identical vampire princes are searching for a human girl to one day rule their kingdom. Little did they know that Deva was not like the rest of the girls. She does everything to sabotage her chances but it isn't enough to shield her heart. Eventually the twisting and pulling force her guard down and she falls; she falls so deeply it hurts. Her vulnerability will lead her down a dark winding path she was never ready for. Vampires, a kingdom, a crown, love were just the tip of her iceberg. I promise this is a book that will not disappoint.

My name is Violet Mercer. When I was about 4, I watched my parents die. A few weeks later, I was branded and shipped off with a bunch of other kids to my new fate, to train and learn for 10 years until I was sold to someone else as a slave. Brutal beginning? Yeah. But it's the truth. See, here's the thing. A few years back--maybe a little under 50--we humans did something stupid. It was part of an experiment called G42 by some genetics company that was trying to speed up evolution. What did they do? Well, they altered specific genetic strands to see if they could create a sort of super-human. Their answer? Yes. But there was a flaw in their plan. These new 'evolved' humans, or 'evos', were everything they could have hoped for--strong, and fast, and smart. Practically immortal, too, so what was the problem? They were born without emotions. Maybe this doesn't sound too bad to you, but our emotions? They're what make us human. What happened next was kinda inevitable: the Evos took over. There are two strands of DNA--get one, and your set for life. Get the other, good luck living to see past your sweet sixteen. And if you are one of the crazy (or brave, depending on who you ask) people who dares to bring a child into this world, you could give them the best, longest life ever, or doom them to an early death after a suckish life. So, yeah. Our world is screwed up. And we can't go to G42 for a solution, because as soon as the Evos realized the possibilities, they slaughtered everyone who might know something and blew up the facility. Now, dear reader, are you beginning to understand the use of emotions? This is my story. I still don't know how it ends, whether it was all for better or worse. But you're here. So go ahead and read. Maybe we'll both learn a little something. Welcome to my life. I hope you survive in this new world. By Earthstone #567 in Teen Fic on 6/17/2016

It felt like it was just yesterday I was simply a princess, living under the guidance of my parents. I remember the days when I was an innocent girl, wanting to rule over my people independently. The girl who spoke gracefully, but had the tongue of a snake when felt threatened. The princess who was ready for a battle and could wheel any weapon handed to her, and could take down her enemies within seconds. But now since my time on earth, I was no longer the simple princess, with a hot temper. Somehow me coming to earth had changed my life, entirely. I discovered the truth about my past, about me and my kingdom, that I didn't know exist. Changing my entire life and forcing me to grow into the Queen I was meant to become. This is my story, the version all Helixian history book failed to tell, about THE HIDDEN TRUTH. *************************** During my time on wattpad I have read numerous books but they were mostly of Caucasian decent and I could barely find a book about a black woman who was strong and could defeat all odds, but instead are used as sex objects, in my book there will be an inclusion of every race whether it be mixed or not just so everyone feels included. Adriana Crest's kind can walk the line between life and death, but to do that, they must die. Adriana always knew she was different; she could see what others couldn't. Those who surrounded her knew that Adriana was different; odd. Even Adriana's own father could tell there was something off with her ever since the crash, the one that changed Adriana's life. Awakened an old force inside of her that collected its steep price and took control of her entire being. Now the teenagers unasked questions may be given answers, when a mysterious family moves to her island. They are unlike any others Adriana has ever meet, who willingly left the mainland to live on the low sourced island. Where there are no malls and one out-dated picture house. They are the only people Adriana has ever encountered who are like her; something she doesn't know whether to fear, or not. Adriana wants to know more but she's too scared of what she'll find. Because, like Adriana, they are the only ones on the island who have no auras.
