Like most things, it all started with hello. Desmond Florence, a junior at Myrefalls Private Highschool, has crushed on his neighbor and fellow classmate, Lauren Everoad, since the beginning of freshman year. But he had never found the courage to say anything to her, despite his seemingly easy going personality. Until one day when he stumbled across her phone number. After months of mulling it over, Desmond sent an anonymous text message which changed everything. Lauren, Hi, this is probably very weird- scratch that, this is really creepy now that I think about it- but I've had a crush on you for a while now. I guess you could say I'm your secret admirer! Anyways, I found your phone number a while back (on your desk- I'm not a stalker or anything!) and wanted to get to know you without being face to face (when I'm nervous I say really stupid things so I couldn't risk it haha...) I get it if you don't respond or even read this, it is creepy now that I'm thinking about it... but I can prove that I'm a good guy if you'll give me a chance :) Sincerely, Friend

❝What, afraid of a couple vultures?❞ The dark haired boy taunted as I turned away quickly, clamping a hand over my mouth. ❝No,❞ I managed to say. ❝I'm afraid of the blood that comes with them.❞ *** It's terrifying enough to be new in a small town. But try being new in a small town where everyone is seemingly insane. Welcome to Eeriate, ten square miles of Rhode Island that is oddly enough not on any maps. But maybe it's for the best because the people there have a tradition. A deadly one. It's called The Wall, a six foot square cement wall of the second floor boys bathroom at Eeriate High School. And it's covered in names. It's past isn't so clear but it's purpose is simple. Make those you hate pay with no consequences. Merci, who had only moved to the town two weeks ago, discovered her name was scrawled onto The Wall next to a secret that doesn't belong to her, only days after the disappearance of a fellow classmate. But Merci realizes that something different this time and just maybe it has to do with the notes her aunt had been receiving over the past couple of months. The same notes that caused her to fall off the wagon again. Then when people start to be murdered and A Riot is called for, she knows she in far deeper than she ever expected. S A N I T Y This is a thriller / suspense novel about the twisted malevolence in teenagers and how a misguided belief in anonymity brings out the most violent nature in some people. WARNING STRONG LANGUAGE AND VIOLENCE
