"Maridis Seleq Volmilarg, I hereby annul our engagement from today onwards!" Such is how my story started. 'To think that I reincarnated without even knowing which otome game or light novel I'm in, I could only sigh in defeat.' And such is also how our protagonist reacted. ... Everything came to click for Maridis when she was 5 years old. But who would have thought that the third prince, who was two years older than her, would cancel their engagement during the royal party when she was 8 years old! 'Hey, it's not even the climax yet you already disengaged her?!' But such is not the problem for our protagonist. "So, am I the villainess or the supporting character? I don't even care being a mob character, so WHICH IS IT, TRULY?" ....Is what she's more worried about apparently. ... Credit to whoever create the amazing picture I use as my cover~ kirarin☆ I just get it from google😉

In the novel "The Prince and the Peasant", the male lead prince Chen Heng Li was once betrothed to the Western Border's General first daughter, Bai Fan. But the male protagonist never really liked Bai Fan as she was rude and unruly. As the plot unravels, Chen Heng Li met the female lead, Ming Shu, who was an orphan. Both the leads went against the world just to prove their love for each other. As for Bai Fan, she ended up dead as a result of her own wicked schemes. As you can guess, I am not the female lead. In this world, I am Bai Fan, daughter to Western Border's General Bai Long He. I am one of the countless villains in the story. Add up the fact that in the story, I won't have a happy ending. So I decided to change my fate. How tiresome. original story•••

Irene is a known writer. Her published works have always been well-received despite her notable fascination with bittersweet endings. Not just that, she's also a linguist and of course, a wide reader. One fateful night, while she was at an old rodden bookstore she happened to notice a book somewhat glimmering in the bookshelf. Realizing that it was well-written, she took it home, read it without putting it down for two days and eventually found herself in awe with the character of Magnus Baudin Veritas Courtenay who she considered to be a tragic yet well-rounded antagonist. In her mind, before she succumbed to her drowsy sleep-deprived fatigue, Irene unbeknownstly yearned to save this villain from his treacherous path of misery. When she woke up, her eyes widened in shock. What happened? Why is she all of a sudden in a somewhat English mansion, reminiscent of the setting of her recent read? What in the world happened? And what does it have do to her? (A/N: I own the story but not the artworks.)
