I am a florist, living on 36 Buttonwood Drive, New York, but I do not own a flower shop. I have worked with flowers every day for 3 years, but I've never grown a flower in my entire life. A lot of people may differ with my opinion, but I don't really like flowers. However, writing about flowers is the love of my life. I believe every single thing that exists is a symbol, that it represents a purpose, even flowers. I like to believe that each flower anyone of us has ever come across has 'a story'. I don't think these stories are historic and legendary truths but more like what each of us uniquely comes to associate with these flowers when we think of them due to, maybe, our exceptional personal experiences in each of our lives or maybe some hushed, forgotten childhood fantasies. I will be sharing with you a few of these flowers' story - or at least, what they mean to me. Get the drift? Enjoy.
