He cared for a nephew whose parents had gone under in the Stock Market Crash. They searched for opportunities for work while his insane uncle took care of him. Ben hated everything about his situation in life. He hated his parents for leaving him. He hated his uncle for offering to take care of him. He hated his uncle for trying to teach him to play the stupid piano that he also hated. He hated that silly girl that always sat on the bench outside at 12:00 everyday to listen to his uncle play.
