When a simple mission to the desert turns into an attack, Storm finds herself stuck with a group of dragons she had once called enemies. However, they soon find out that the Nightwings were not the only group that had been using the war to hide their schemes. Old magic is resurfacing in Pyrrhia once again and those ambitious enough to search for it will do whatever it takes to find it. Can Storm and her friends save Pyrrhia while also coming to terms with the devastation that the war has caused them?

After finding out about the Hunger Games from a super handy dandy scavenger, he comes up with an idea: Why not choose the delinquents I hate so much, and throw them into these scavengers' Hunger Games? And that's exactly what he does. Tsunami, Clay, Glory, Starflight, Sunny, Qibli, Winter, Kinkajou, Fatespeaker, and Moonwatcher are sent into an arena to fight each other to the death, and only one dragon comes out alive.
