For as long as George can remember, he's always felt like an outcast. He'd learned to be cautious when letting new people into his life, never allowing anyone to get too close. As time passed he gradually got used to relying solely on himself, but he still desperately wished he could just put himself out there a little more. At the age of twenty-one he's finally ready to take some risks and meet new people, or at least, that's what he's trying to tell himself. As George battles with his self worth and feelings of discouragement, he has a chance encounter with an American stranger in the middle of the night. Could an unlikely friendship between the two change the trajectory of George's life? He certainly hopes so. {t/w}~ alcoholism, abuse, talk of mental health, slight/implied homophobia, panic attacks *there will be a disclaimer in the specific chapters that warnings appear in, some are more mild than others* please stay safe and know that you are loved! this story is purely for practice purposes and is not intended to make anyone uncomfortable, and if it does, i'll take it down right away! now with that out of the way, let's get into the story <3

“You,” he scoffed. “You don’t believe in love.” He looked astounded, as if this news was most unpredictable. I paused, replying as monotone as my voice could muster, “I believe in love. I just don’t desire it. It’s destructive. It ruins people.” His brow shot up, surprised by my answer. “Don’t tell me you’re a romantic,” I laughed. His posture grew tensed and he morphed back into the asshole I’d met a few days before. “No,” he stated. But surprising me too, he voiced the words I never dreamed him uttering, “But I think love is beautiful.” - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - A hop, skip, and an ocean away, Annelie Mills arrives in London, attempting to run away from her past. Laced with drama, laughs, and newfound happiness, Annelie tries to build a new life, but will it fall to pieces? (dun dun dun)

➳ "Listen, I have no idea what you must be going through. And I know we just met and everything, but just know I'm always here for you." Jonah said rubbing my arm. "I ship it so hard." (Disclaimer: I'm aware of Jonah's full name. Just pretend Marais it is real last name for the sake of this book.) *THERE IS A TON OF SPELLING MISTAKES IM SORRY* If you see "Lenna" anywhere it means Ashlyn. It says somewhere that Ashlyn is 17, but she's not. She's supposed to be 20.

"I didn't ask to be in the middle of your ego-battle," I grumble. Blake pins me to my locker, hands resting on either side of my head. "Well, you got it in anyway, Darling," he whispers. His face is inches away from mine and damn me for licking my lips. I am NOT falling for these guys. And then, at the corner of my eye I spot Owen and his gang approaching. Well, that's just great. *** The West and East gang of Tygerwell have been at each other's throats since the dawn of time. And the two leaders of these gangs want to end the fight, once and for all. But fighting with fists is easy. Fighting with wit and charm, is a whole other ball game. Blake. West-side gang leader. Leather jacket and killer glare. Don't talk back. Owen. East-side gang leader. Fancy coat and toxic stare. Don't resist. And in comes Amber. Hair of gold and oceans in her eyes. Has too much sass for her own good and always, ALWAYS, manages to get into the middle of trouble. But these boys have no idea who they're really dealing with. And when Amber descovers she knows a little too much when it comes to guns and fighting, she has to question everything she thought she knew about herself. Three can play this game. *** "Let's settle this. You got rejected, I got rejected. It's only fair that the fate of the gangs be on who gets the girl first." "That sounds rather good, Rhodes. I'll take that bet on the golden girl." *** COMPLETED FICTION AWARDS: Best new story and best new account Highest ranking in Teen Fiction: #1 on 25/06/2018

{FIRST BOOK IN 'THE GIRL IN THE HOODIE' SERIES} {2014-2018} A girl moved to California two years ago. No one knows what she looks like. All they know is that she wears a hoodie. *~*~*~* "HOLY SHIT, NOAH! WHY THE FUCK WOULD YOU LET THE TROLLEY GO?! COME BACK! OH MY FUCKING LIFE, FIZZY DRINKS UP AHEAD--" BANG FIZZ POP "...am I dead?" I'm suddenly grabbed by the back of my hoodie and pulled up from the ground and out of the mess of the opened bottles of fizzy which had exploded when the trolley and I crashed into them. My hands instantly go to my hood and I sigh in relief to find that it hadn't fallen off through all of that. I turn my head and look the the employee who's holding me, his face completely red and the vein in his neck throbbing. "Wassup, dude?" I smile sheepishly. *~* {HIGHEST RANKINGS: #1 in Funny #1 in Sad And #1 in Cancer apparently }
