That's when Alice got different heart beats. Faster. But everything goes harder because of her mean-boyfriend, Mark. Mark said he will not do anything bad again to Ed, and also to herself, if Alice stayed away from him. She doubt, she doesn't want to leave Ed, because she loves him so much, otherwise, she wants to break up with Mark. But if she keeps staying with Ed, she and he'd probably get hurt again.
