As part of the deal, she has to live with each parent for a year. Which doesn't seem like a problem until her workaholic dad moves to the other side of the country. Emily has to leave behind everything. Her mom, school, her best friends Sam and Jack, and everything she has grown up with. The only thing keeping her going is the fact that after a year, she gets to chose who she lives with.
