I have no idea where this is going, but maybe you'll like it?? Just another bandom highschool AU; it's packed with plenty of spicy (memes) band references of course. Fluff with maybe a touch of smut; I'm not sure yet. [Title is based off of Thought Contagion by Muse]

Gerard Way had never been the victim to a tragedy of dire proportions. Nothing had ever been offbeat in his meager, overall sheltered life with Mikey and their widowed mother. No one with a life as transparent as his would have ever even considered the idea of an apocalypse. Such stories were better kept in the comics that lined his shelves. And yet, within mere seconds, the ideal Way household were thrust into the middle of a crumbling society. Despite what society describes in fiction, it's rather hard to keep your sanity intact when you've lost everything in an instant.

Gerard Way is a virgin. A pathetic, gay, red-haired little virgin. But he was okay with that. People in school avoided him, hell, they didn't even know who he was, and that was how it was. Until a good 'friend' of Gerard's started a rumor. A rumor that was bound to destroy everything Gerard had come to know, and even a little more in the process. Nothing good could come out of this situation, or so Gerard thought. But a certain boy with converse and a lip piercing would beg to differ. (Ok I suck at writing intros. The story will be better, I promise...)
