It was different this year, very little laughter and mainly sadness, I guess you have to understand that's the way it's going to be after one of your best friends in the whole wide world leaves because of their career. We started getting used to there being at least one person missing most of the time. But I think when it's only you and one person its heartbreaking.
So by the end of the night, Jules and I are through our second bottle of vodka, thinking about where we went wrong. Then on my phone pops a name I haven't seen in a really long time. It was Chrissy, probably trying to call me to tell me how we should catch up. Even though she didn't come, and how we haven't seen each other in years. I didn't feel like answering and even more so, because the last time we were all together she said something that no one has ever forgiven her for, and I don't think ever will.
