It's gonna be set in present day

John Laurens and Alexander Hamilton become roommates while attending university. Everything is going well for the two until Thomas Jefferson sticks his cane in their business. -- John did his best to shake the rain off before he got to his dorm. Just before he reached his room the power turned off. Great. He found that the door was unlocked meaning Alexander was inside. As he stepped inside he didn't see any sign of his roommate. Another clap of thunder sounded in the sky and Laurens heard a shuffle come from under his desk. --

"Do you think God stays in heaven because he, too, lives in fear of what he's created?"-Steve Buscemi, Spy Kids 2 Hamilton wants the d(ark roast) *rereads this story* CRAWLING IN MY SKIN THESE WOUNDS, THEY WILL NOT HEAL This is a Lams coffee shop AU written from mostly John Laurens' P.O.V., but it does switch from time to time. In it, Laurens works the night shift at a coffee shop (who knows if a 24 hour coffee shop exists, but in fiction, anything is possible), that Hamilton decides to go to when after he gets struck with writer's block. Normal coffee shop AU antics ensue. To be honest, a lot of the story isn't actually in the coffee shop, but... So anyway, it's gay and no one dies...(yet) Buckle up and hold on. (Cover by yamhaylet)

Sentence: 12 years Time Served: 3 years When Alexander Hamilton is admitted into King's Correctional Facility on remand, awaiting trial for the murder of his cousin, Governor Washington turns to John Laurens to get to know Alex and submit an anonymous witness report on whether or not Alex is guilty. Despite whether Alex is guilty or not, John begins to form feelings for his new cell mate. It is all up to John whether Alex does time at King's, but will his judgement be disrupted by his romantic endeavours with Mr Hamilton? And don't forget, this is a building filled with sadistic criminals, how will the lurking threat of other inmates with more sinister intentions stand between John and Alex? Warning ⚠️: deals with themes of drug use, alcohol, sexual assault, sexual themes, gruesome stuff? Idk the warning for that but blood and burns and murder ya and a lot of swearing

Another basic modern college au sorry Literally stereotypical to every college au fic u read (yes there is a storm chapter) with a FEW plot twists bc you know meee ;) When Alexander Hamilton accepts a scholarship into King's College he meets an amazing new group of friends, in doing so also finding the one and only, John Laurens. Alex and John both persue a romantic relationship, but with Thomas Jefferson on Alex's back wreaking havoc, a rocky past to hide, mountains of school work and John's abusive home-life will Alex be able to survive college and protect the love of his life without crumbling under the pressure? Warning: deals with themes of abuse, alcohol, sexual themes, coarse language, self-harm and disorders (depression & ptsd)

Unedited: When the new kid, Alexander Hamilton, comes to town. The whole town seemed to fall victim to his intelligent eyes and hunger-pang frame. John Lauren's just happens to be one of those victims under Hamiltons spell.

This is, just as the title suggests, a Hamilton College AU. I know it is a super typical story but this is my first Lams book. I will try to be as original as possible but I also am influenced by other Hammy AUs. I'm open to constructive criticism so feel free to PM me. Enjoy! (Btw it's now completed)
