Gaia, is a six year old girl. After being abused by her drug addict mother after she was born, she ended up blind. When Gaia's Aunt and Uncle find out their niece was in foster care, they go through adoption process. Gaia has multiple medical problems along with being blind. Everyday is a struggle for her and her family. She watches her older brothers, Enzo, Lucien, and Aspen enjoy the world while she's stuck in the darkness. How does Gaia manage? How does she navigate the world? Will she ever fit in? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I actually started writing this late one night and just went with it. This one will have updates multiple times a week but not everyday like my other two books. (Nobody talks about how hard it is to write a blind character lol) As with all my other books, I make sure to proofread and edit each chapter. Feel free to point out mistakes as you see them. Leave comments and suggestions too! Much love ~Blu

[Book 1] Crawlers: once normal people like you or me. They had hobbies, families, friends, interests, but now they are feral monsters. The infection spread, wiping out almost half the human race, and leaving the rest as either Crawlers or Survivors. The infected's eyes will black out, before giant, black, bug-like legs will rip out of their back, giving them a newfound speed and agility, as well as an insatiable bloodlust. Body fluids entering any open wound, including the eyes, mouth, and nose, will seal the person's fate; they are now infected. It won't be long before they start screeching at the moon in a mock howl. The problem is, I am infected. I turned but retained most of my humanity. With my new lifestyle in a new world, I can't expect anything or anyone to act as I predict. My biggest question is, can I save my humanity? Or will I simply become part of the mindless feral swarm?

This is a second view point from my original story - A Different Virus - Heartfire. I highly advise reading the original book first. Intro: Laura was a happy child without a care in the world. She loved her parents and life was perfect. Nothing seemed like it could go wrong. People started talking about a bad flu that was spreading and sending some into a coma. Her parents grew worried and stocked the house in case of a pandemic. Months later another virus appeared. Her family was shocked when the news people started reporting that zombies were actually real and not just part of a horror movie. They were appearing in every country. Her parents reassured her that none of the zombie sightings had been anywhere close to them. Her life is turned upside down when her father ends up in hospital with the bad flu and mother exiles her upstairs for her safety. She was never allowed downstairs again. Weeks pass and the streets become deserted with the exception of the red eyed zombies that wandered around. One night she notices a swiftly moving figure with glowing blue eyes in the street below. Should she call out or remain silent? Is this fleeting shadow something that can help her or could this mysterious figure be even more dangerous than the zombies themselves? ---------------------- Ranked #1 Apr 10, 2018 (A huge thank you to all who read and voted!) This story is copyright and built from my own imagination. This book was a special request from someone who helped me a lot. This viewpoint has less action than the original. The cover was made by @All_AboutAssymetry. A huge thanks to her! Copyright September 2016. All Rights Reserved. Readers may not copy, alter, or steal this story. When a celestial body forms, its soul manifests as a dragon, and seeks out the nearest inhabited planet to hunt upon. The moon dragon's power is cataclysmic on Earth, as she draws her strength from the gravitational force which creates the ocean's tides. Thousands of years ago, a violent king cursed a fragment of the moon; anyone who held it had the dragon's perfect obedience. The king used her as a weapon, destroying countless lives in his conquests. After the king's death, his heir decided such a weapon was inhumane for war, but too valuable to relinquish; The dragon was commanded to remain in her prison beneath the kingdom forever. Enraged, she began to kill any human who entered her cell. Rather than command her to stop, the royal family found her to be an efficient executioner, and an effective threat to dissenters. When Lyra is sent into the dragon's cell, fear conflicts with empathy, as both have suffered at the same hands.
