Her hand touches my cheek and she nods just barely. "You don't make me feel like I have to watch my back." I smile softly and lean into her touch. "Good, because I'm not going anywhere." Her smile fades. "Don't say that if you don't mean it." My fingers play with her hair. "I do mean it. Lavender, I will be by your side for as long as you will let me.
