When Peter's suit goes off-line during a very massive and powerful thunderstorm, Tony does the right thing and worries. A lot. Luckily, Rhodey is a good friend and goes looking for Peter, leaving behind the still injured billionaire to pace the floor of the penthouse. He doesn't have to wait long, but the state Rhodey finds his son in does nothing to ease the father's worries. In fact, it seems to make him worry even more, if that was even possible. (Hint: It is.)

He is incredibly gifted in science, specifically chemistry, and it wouldn't be a stretch to call him a genius technologically. He lives with his Aunt May in Queens and his life is fairly straightforward: do well in school, do well in life. No distractions. Pretty simple logic for a 15 year old kid. Except for the fact that he's not a fairly straightforward 15 year old kid at all. Throw in an "internship" with the one and only Tony Stark, family death, high school drama, bullies, a team of super-humans, and a secret identity that he can't keep secret for much longer, and you've got some distractions keeping you from reaching the future you've been set out to achieve. "I promise you won't die." Tony said with a smile. "But I don't trust you." Peter then looked at Bruce. "Completely safe." The scientist said with a nod. "Alright then." Peter said and wiped the sweat off his hands. "Are you serious?!" Tony, after introducing Peter to Ike of the avengers, tries to make him pick up Thor's hammer.

All Tony wanted to do was get a Happy Meal for his son, eat some chicken nuggets and go home. However, when they are ambushed by a group of information-hungry journalists, bitter childhood memories are forced to the surface and the father will do anything to protect his child from people that have stalked him his whole life.
