Tarina tytöstä, joka halusi kaiken muttei saanut mitään. Tarina pojasta, joka ei halunnut mitään mutta sai kaiken. Tarina vastakohdista, jotka täydentävät toisiaan, ja tarina täydellisyyden epätäydellisyydestä. 16-vuotias tyttö tuntee elävänsä varjossa, josta ei ole poispääsyä. Hän ei ymmärrä ketään saati halua ymmärtää. Hänen mielestään hän on ainoa, jolle ei ole suotu kaikkea kultatarjottimella. Hänen asenteensa ja elämänsä kuitenkin muuttuvat, kun hänen käsityksensä ihmisistä saa kovan kolauksen. Tytön elämään astuu poika, joka ei olekaan niin täydellinen kuin on antanut ymmärtää.
