This story takes place after the Normandy had avoided the Mass Relay explosions of Shepard's choice of Destruction ending. But furthermore, Garrus and Tali were with Shepard on earth before she went into the beam the Reapers were guarding. They were picked by the Normandy and tended to. Tali first though (considering she's a quarian and all, bad immune system and such). When Garrus gets on bored, he pleas Joker to stay for Shepard. But He didn't listen. This story takes place before the great war of the geth and quarians on Rannoch. Whereas the quarians could rome without enviro-suits or helmets. All fans of the gaming franchise, Mass Effect, know well the loyal and trustworthy (except kinda near the end of Mass Effect 3's take back Rannoch scenario) geth companion, Legion. For he is the main Protagonist of this fan-fiction.
