Alex is a 17 year old artist recovering from a heart transplant and the tragic death of his girlfriend to a heart condition. Nila is a 16 year old dancer waiting for a kidney donor. Kade is a band fanatic and former football player recovering from a traumatic head injury that left both his eyes black from eight ball fractures. London is an aspiring musician and singer who is learning to walk again after losing her leg in a car accident. Joey is a 9 year old gamer with a brain tumor. Zoey's face was horribly disfigured in a fire that also claimed her parents. Through their treatments and pain, the two groups merge into one inseparable family and become each others' lifelines.
