When Alyssa Harper moves to a picture-perfect town in North Carolina, she expects boring. The kind where everything blends together and nothing stands out. Where nobody cares enough to know each other and nothing exciting ever happens.
She does not expect him.
Her next-door neighbor is cocky, irritating, and way too entertained by getting under her skin. The kind of guy who smirks when she's annoyed like it's his favorite hobby.
Unfortunately for her, he lives right next door.
Even more unfortunate? Her mom loves him.
Despite Alyssa's insistence that he's rude, insufferable, and absolutely not worth the attention, he somehow charms everyone else with ease. Determined to prove she's right about him, Alyssa starts spending more time around him.
Which would be fine-
if he didn't start proving her wrong.
Because somewhere between the arguments, the teasing, and the moments she didn't expect, the line between hate and something else starts to blur.
And Alyssa's not sure what's worse-
being stuck next door to him...
or realizing she might not want to leave.
