Run. That was all that went through my mind, run. Beads of sweat fell down from my forehead, to my cheeks and off of my chin. I could hear their groans and moans behind me as I struggled to keep ahead of them. I didn't want to carry on, I had no reason to. I felt my legs begin to buckle underneath me as I eventually fell to my knees. I lay there on the forest floor, tears streaming down my face, sobbing violently. 'This is it', I thought to myself. 'This is the end'.
