After witnessing Sonic's dark super form whilst on a rescue mission, Sonic's friends want an explanation for the presence of the dark entity in their seemingly carefree hero. Meanwhile, Sonic's dreams are haunted by memories of his early childhood, before he met Tails and the gang. Are the two occurrences linked? Is the hedgehog's easy going attitude just a face?

Sonic work as a librarian. His little brother usually tag along and help him, his name is Chibi Sonic (little Sonic because he's so god damn adorable). Shadow, came to the library to look around and came across Sonic and fall in love with him, but he never told him. Chibi noticed this and really didn't want his brother to get close to Shadow. Sonic and the gang visit one of the biggest and most ancient caves in all of Mobius for a Summer activity. What started off as a harmless, self-guided tour, soon became a danger to their lives. The gang becomes split up, as the roof begins to cave in. They must go on a journey to find each other again and find their way out, without cell phone reception, or a map. When Sonic and Shadow get stuck together, they may find that they work better together than they thought, perhaps in more than one way.

Shadow is one of the top three teachers at Mobbious High. Very intelligent and determined to teach his students how ever he's not very good at connecting with them on a social level, that is until a new student is enrolled in his class and forces his way into Shadow's life. Knowing he could be fired if the principal found out, Shadow does everything he can to keep the student a secret, although, something might prevent them from keeping it secret for long.

Sonic Ayers is the "new kid" at Blue Ridge High School, and already everyone loves him. He's hot, caring, smart, athletic, and a goofball. He makes everyone around him happy, and never cusses or talks bad about anyone. He never shows aggressiveness or anger, the only feeling he seems to possess is happiness. Lots of people think his life is perfect, and think they know him very well. But do they really know him? However, Shadow Blackburn's life isn't seemingly perfect at all. He's the "emo kid". Everybody tries to avoid him, except the bullies. Shadow is endlessly bullied and picked on, and to make his life worse, he has abusive parents. They actually used to be sweet and kind, however after he told them he was gay, they immediately became abusive. He's been abused by them for four years now. He's even considered suicide, but then Sonic came to their high school. Shadow became curious about him, he always wore a blue sweater, even if it was 70 degrees Fahrenheit. Although he never looked like he was overheated. Shadow saw something off about him, and he wanted to figure him out. He was curious. But is it worth it? Sonic also becomes curious about Shadow. Why does everyone hate him? Is a question he asks himself often. He wants to find out more about Shadow. But is it worth it?
