The grown-ups are all gone and children rule the new world. Harry lives in a strange utopia: resources are plentiful, the climate has stabilised, there is peace. His village is watched over by an invisible force that keeps them all from danger - but is it protecting them, or holding them back? Join Harry and his friends as they embark on a journey to unravel the mystery of what happened to the old world, and what is wrong with the new. They might not like what they discover. From the writer of the Watty-winning A Day of Faces and The Mechanical Crown.

ABOUT THE BOOK: **A Watty Award 2020 Winner in the Literary Fiction category! Featured Wattpad Editors' Pick!** Nora and Rainey Ko-Harvey are sisters who couldn't be more different in temperament. Rainey impulsively follows her heart; Nora, the epitome of restraint, (over)thinks things. Yet they're still best friends. Along with their mother, they run the family business-a San Francisco tea salon-while navigating the ups and downs of romance, ambitions, and careers. When tragedy strikes their family, their world is turned upside down-yet grief brings new possibilities for love and success. Told with humor and warmth, HEARTS & MINDS is a beautifully executed novel about the many forms love can take.

Highest Ranking: #1 in Humor [FEATURED, SEPT-OCT] An idealistic poet refuses to budge from the last parcel of land a developer needs to acquire in order to build a shopping mall. (Literary satire with pop culture references and environmental themes.) synopsis: The Myth of Wile E. is a riff on the modern obsession with fame and acclaim, as well as a mediation on the artist's place in the modern world, as seen through the eyes of a naive poet who is made simultaneously pathetic and heroic by the pursuit of a singular goal. In this novel, we meet an assortment of eccentric monomaniacs, from mushroom hunters in search of a legendary truffle, to birders pursuing a possibly-extinct bird, to competitive Duck Stamp artists, to "the World's Foremost Living Statue"...and even a very stubborn spider. Meanwhile, our narrator--a terrible, yet persistent, poet--battles a ruthless land developer who's determined to acquire the poet's humble property, in an escalating battle of wills that spirals out of control when the media gets involved. With these quirky events as a backdrop, we gradually learn of the misfortunes that befell each member of the poet's family in their various misguided quests for glory. We also learn why money makes the world go flat, why talent is a white elephant, and what it means for parents to love their children "to pieces." Some of my influences are Richard Brautigan (especially), Christopher Moore, Kurt Vonnegut, Tom Robbins, and George Saunders, so if you like any of them, I hope you'll enjoy this, too.

"The laugh cracked loudly into the school's atrium, like a shot of a gun. A quick bullet. A deadly bullet the pierces through flesh and bone. I realized then... that a laugh was as lethal as a bullet." I thought bullying didn't exist. And if it did, I wasn't a bully. Except I was. We all were. Not because we beat kids up. Or we called people freaks. Or gave them swirlies. Because we never did that. It was because we laughed." For these three kids, a playful laugh cuts deeper than a fist ever would. And the worst part is...they laugh along. 1.Eliza hides behind the brightest smile and stuttered words. 2.Reece desires the perfect body and will destroy himself to do it. 3.Hunter is the bad boy with sick suicidal jokes, screwing both Prozac and girls. But it is more than just those three: 4.London sits in her wheelchair trying to be normal 5. Ashton needs to return to the surface of people and stop cowering in the digital world 6. Griffith hides his autistic emotions. The story is told by a girl who always laughs. Drama, love, pain, tears, laughter, depression, weaknesses. We all laugh. But what does our laugh truly effect? "Hands down this is the best book I've read on wattpad. I don't even know what to say. I mean... I just.... Wow." -Irxdeo This book deals with heavy topics such as depression, suicide, eating disorders, abuse, so read carefully. I want to say some of these characters and scenes in the beginning are based on real people and real events, but some are not. Hi, guys! Thanks for checking this story out. Remember be brave and kind.

An ex-couples rivalry for the spot as student body president becomes even more convoluted when two new, unexpected candidates enter the race. Chloe and Preston team up, each vowing to get one member kicked from the competition-- but when they both end up helping their victims to spite each other, the campaign gets a lot more complicated. * * * * * Chloe Peters is determined to solidify her most-popular-girl-in-school status with the label of student body president, so she's furious when three other candidates enter the race. Now, she's competing against her ex-boyfriend Preston McMillan, some nobody named Emily, and the school's notorious troublemaker, Finn Harrel. If it means saving her pride and not letting Preston get the best of her, she'd do just about anything-- even help out Finn, who despite his good looks, gets on her last nerve with his lackadaisical attitude and class-clown antics. Preston McMillan just wants a distraction from the fact that his wrestling team is about to be disbanded. When he signs up for the presidential race, he doesn't expect Chloe to go berserk, nor does he expect to meet Emily, a quiet, stony girl he can't believe he's never noticed before. After deciding to help with her campaign, he's got plenty of distractions-- enough to make him wonder what really matters, and enough to make his friends question where his loyalties lie. One thing's for sure: suddenly, this race is about a lot more than student government. 𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐏𝐋𝐄𝐓𝐄𝐃 (𝐮𝐧𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐝) - 𝟑/𝟖/𝟐𝟎𝟏𝟗 𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐏𝐋𝐄𝐓𝐄𝐃 (𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐬) - 𝟏𝟎/𝟏𝟓/𝟐𝟎𝟏𝟗 𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐏𝐋𝐄𝐓𝐄𝐃 (𝐦𝐚𝐣𝐨𝐫 𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐬)- 𝟖/𝟐𝟒/𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟎
