"You're playing a dangerous game, Leah." Underneath those thick lashes peeked jade crystals, blazing with some daring spark that once again woke that primitive greed I could not control. "You're my wife now. I can have you whenever I please." I had leaned over her as she sat in the bathtub, all tumbling hair of gold and one daring smile that had my blood rush with mad desire; an erection that throbbed since the second I had interrupted her bath. Wrenching her gaze from mine, she ran her hand over her lathery bare leg. Damnation. She was playing my resistance. "Can you? Remember the rule?" A mere glance up at me and another wave of heat rushed up my legs. When she traced her wet finger over my jaw, I had to suspend that crippling necessity to scoop her in my arms right then, and take her to my bed for the night. "Six months.. One night. Who will break it first?" Those crimson lips moved in a way that had me pulsing with lust. A growl broke from my chest with the realization of her words. A rule I made up. Hell, it was supposed to be a marriage of benefits only. Six damned months only. And yet- "The rule stands for you only." I reminded. Why was I still dressed? Why in the hell was I holding back when she sat there naked in that tub, waiting for me to ravish her? "I will never beg for a night with you, Valentine." She said the obvious. "Because you'll do it first." *** |18+ Mature Content|

Some of the words she hates include economy class, second-hand clothes, and budget. She likes fashion, dating, not being on time and getting what she wants - until she meets Sean, who is like the clock striking midnight; he erases all her magic power. He is as mature and sophisticated as the dark roasted coffee he drinks, while she is like a lollipop: colorful, dazzling on the outside but empty calories and artificial sweeteners on the inside. The attraction is instant, but getting a kiss is only the first step. To keep their fire burning, they must accept each other's differences and decide if what they're building is strong enough to survive trials, jealousy, expectations, and the fear of becoming someone they no longer recognize.

''There is only one thing crossing my mind right now. If he hates me so much, then why the hell is he kissing me back?'' ----------------------- Emma White has always been kind of a loner. Her mother died giving birth to her and her father never really cared, always working in his successful company. That's why she decides to go to a college away from home, something she's been dreaming of since she can remember. However, what happens when at her very first day on campus, she crosses path with Noah Allen? He is rich, popular, cold, rude and a player just to start with. No surprise she calls him Mr. Grumpy. What is driving her insane though is that he's only too cold when it comes to her. After some not so pleasant moments and lots of glares, she tells herself that the best is to stay away from him, but it won't be that easy. After a disastrous kiss and hidden jealousy, she finds herself deeply involved into what is this frustrating boy. Add to that the fact that he is her roommates' childhood best friend and you can see drama from miles away. Noah claims to hate her ever since they met, and he doesn't mean her first day of college. He remembers her just fine from a couple of years ago and all the feelings are back. He knows she doesn't remember him and he'll use this as his leverage to do what he has to do. It's what he promised his father and himself, even if it means he has to pretend to care for her. All he cares is his family business. At least it's what he tells himself, until the feelings start getting too mixed and he ends up thinking of her more than he should. Maybe it's not all about business after all. He knows their history started before she even knows, what he didn't expect was for her to be so different from what he has always believed.

Ariana Miller has never been described as one of those cliche 'normal girls'. Her favorite place to be is in an abandoned lot in the back of a rusty car shop where she spends most of her days in with her dog, Percy. So when her parents tell her that they have to leave her home in New York City to go to Los Angeles, she doesn't take it well. She never wanted to move or change or do anything new with her life. She just wanted to spend every day in her favorite place and write, read or play her music. When she arrives at Los Angeles and meets Brandon Davis - her next door neighbor - at the beach, she immediately dislikes him. But he seems to do anything he can to break Ariana's walls down. Being set on being alone and having a place of her own, Ariana's mission is to find a secret place that only she knows, just like in New York. But a lot more things get in the way of that than Ariana thought. Together with Brandon Davis, they seem to be able to handle anything. But they slowly uncover a secret that none of them were expecting. It wasn't a dark secret that would change the fate of humanity, it was just a secret. A secret that both of them never expected they'd come across. But then again, it's more than just a secret. It's the one thing that brought two individuals together into perfect harmony. [Watty Awards 2019 Winner - New Adult!] Damian Ryker is something of a nomad. In his 22 years of life he's moved a grand total of 14 times. But he's here to stay this time, honest. He's already got himself a cushy new job in town and he's exploring the popular local shops, like that coffee shop down the road. It seems nice enough, perhaps a little too hipster for his taste and the barista is awkward, if not the slightest bit weird. But there's something strange about the innocuous café, like-oh I don't know-earthquakes that seem to destroy it every morning before miraculously repairing themselves and leaving him with the only memory of it. And just when that sounded a tad off, things start to get...a little out of this world. ------------ This was my 2017 Nanowrimo story that I couldn't quite fall out of love with. Inspired by the fun and fascinating world of fan fiction AUs, I hope you'll have as much fun with this as I had writing it!

Highest Ranking #512 in Romance The song itself held so much meaning to our situation, so I committed it to memory, remembering each step and exactly how it felt to be in his arms for one last time. "Are you going to come to the wedding?" Enrique asked warily, as if he were dreading the answer. "Yes, I promise that I'll be there. Unless, you don't want me to come." I rushed out feeling panicked. For as long as my heart is beating, no matter the pain it brings. I'm here today and I'll be there when you marry her in two weeks. Trust me." I stared into his eyes, hoping that he would see how much I meant my words and how much I loved him. ∞ ∞ ∞ Megan is an innocent, independent and beautiful woman.
