7 children are destined to affect Dogleaf School for Orphans. Harper has been an orphan for a long time and tries her best to escape the rules and Social Services. Jade and Jake are twins that have come from a rich family. Their parents recently died and their lawyer put them in Dogleaf. Kaitlyn is the daughter of the headmaster of Dogleaf. She seems to be evil and snotty but could there be something else? Brooke is the oldest of three siblings. They have been tossed around from family to family, looking for somebody that will take them in permanently. Joshua pretty much closes up the bad boy look. He wears black constantly and eyepatches seem to be his signature mark. Nobody knows what happened to his parents, or what he stands for. Willow is considered stupid. Nobody takes her seriously. Is it such a crime that her brain works differently?

"I am going to haunt you forever." That's the promise that Breanne makes her killer. He cannot dump her body in the river and simply have his crime washed away. The detectives assigned to her case can't seem to pin anything on him, and her parents are beginning to believe the lies he tells. But Breanne is going to make sure he pays.
