Jamie's life in Blue Pine Ridge was anything but ordinary to those further down the mountain but to him, it was as ordinary and boring as a game of checkers. Securing the entire village at night and everyone on lock down every full moon was just the way of life for him and his clan and it worked for them. Everything ran smoothly and was productive. That is, until, the Red Moon rose high in the sky and a breach to their walls leave them with a stray from one of the less civilized Wolfkin clans. Jamie is hell bent on domesticating and hitting common ground with the black haired stray, but he never planned on the broad shouldered Wolfkin claiming him.

Living in thousands of miles of ocean waters seems glamorous and beautiful, venturing underwater caverns and seeing all there is to see; but Kai would tell you that it's actually the most depressing and lonely life he could ever imagine living. Especially when you're deaf. That is, anyway, until he saw him. One of the most amazing two-legged creatures he'd ever seen on any shore he'd watched. A lifeguard, handsome and strong. A human. But Kai knew that he couldnt venture closer. Especially with being what he was. Merfolk dont mix with humans. Though, being outcasted...what harm could come of it?

The Jerison Secret Service Agency was founded decades before the expansion of the intergalactic reach, their agents spanning the vast galaxies and countless planets in order to protect and serve those who might need their skill and dedication. It didn't matter if you were somewhere in the Divided States of America on Earth or if you were sitting in an office space on the cherry tree adorned planet of Peyanne; the Jerisons would be there whenever they were needed. But for nineteen year old Hashi, they were more than a Secret Service Agency. They were his family. Being the youngest known Jerison agent in eight generations, he was not what you might consider your average teenager. Born into the service and raised behind the butt of a weapon, Hashiaru Shinxai stood among his teammates with squared shoulders and a clear head. But off the job and away from the orders of his superiors, he was still a teenager. Battling his own thoughts and self depreciation, he is tasked with the only thing he's known. Being an agent, even when he's off the clock. But new distractions and perhaps some unwanted help have begun to complicate his already chaotic life, forcing him to learn how to adjust...And how to let go, letting someone else take the lead. His mission of self preservation and affection had taken the back burner for so long, he no longer felt it was relevant until someone else forced him to reconsider. What harm could come from letting his guard down, after all? It's not like there's countless galaxies of enemies waiting for a cracked agent to fall short of the flawlessness that was the Jerisons...
